Week 7
1. This week we have casted our classmates and teacher from our school. Our cast includes people from our class and other classes. We have gotten permission to use Mr. Ahles’s classroom to film our main area. We also got permission to film around campus and through hallways. We have determined many different shot angles for each shot. For example, we will be using a close up shot when the students are talking to each other and a long shot when the teacher is talking. We have different movements to flow with each shot as well. For example, we will be moving inside the classroom and towards the teacher as he begins speaking. This is to introduce everything and get the credits ended and introduction started. As we started to figure out each of these ideas some might change in the future but others are in place.
2. This week we also are figuring out what props we are going to be using. We have picked out what kind of clothing each actor/actress will wear and if they need certain props to go with their character. For example, for the nerd she is going to have glasses and a book, the furry will have a tail and messy hair, and maybe headband ears. We have also thought about props for the teacher, he’ll need to be wearing clothes that aren’t too formal because of the way the character is being portrayed in the movie. A strict but also funny teacher that jokes around with the students. He’ll also be writing on the white board to introduce himself to the detention students and so on. The clothing each character will be wearing is going to be a variety of clothes. The cheerleaders are going to be wearing cheer uniforms, once we get permission, the jock will wear clothes that are preppy and jock like, the shy girl will wear simple clothing with a short sleeve shirt and jeans, the hippie will wear a sweatshirt and hoodie with sweatpants and so on.
